Franchise agreements are decidedly one sided and favor the franchisor.

My experience with an Organic Lawn Care Franchise out of Maryland open my eyes to this. The Documents and information presented prior to signing the franchise agreement provides missleading information suggesting that starting a new business in this industry would be "Less Expensive" than actual. The Franchisor ordered material without consent having it shipped directly to my operation. These shipments exceeded "Pre Agreed" amounts by several fold.

The end result was financial ruin for me and my family. So be WARE. Entereing into a franchise agreement is not a partnership. Once a Franchisor receives his funds, they are moving on to the next CROP of suckers to exploit.
